Apparently an Israeli cross between Lainie Kazan and Googie Gomez, the effervescent Alisha Kashi was a fixture on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Merv Griffin Show, charming audiences with her bombastic belting and fractured English. "Hello, peoples!" became her catchphrase of sorts; we feel a drag revival is long overdue.
