Tuttle Tuesday

Do you remember the sheriff's wife in Psycho (1960)? The one who whispered that Norman Bates had discovered his mother and her lover in bed? That was Lurene Tuttle, and a prime example of her ability to steal a scene and create an impression with just a modicum of screen time. She also has the distinction of roughing up Marilyn Monroe in Don't Bother to Knock (1952), and sending Mamie Van Doren up the river in Untamed Youth (1957).

LURENE TUTTLE RESCUES DONNA CORCORAN FROM MARILYN MONROE IN DON'T BOTHER TO KNOCK (1952)

DON BURNETT PLEADS MAMIE VAN DOREN'S CASE TO JUDGE LURENE TUTTLE IN UNTAMED YOUTH (1957)

We're all about giving everyone their moment in the spotlight here at SSUWAT, so Ms. Tuttle, we salute you!
